Embraer Legacy 650E

The Embraer Legacy 650E can trace its routes back to the Legacy 600, a derivative of the Embraer ERJ 145 family, with the Legacy 600 entering service in 2002.

In 2009 Embraer announced the Legacy 650, based on the Legacy 600 but with an increased range, lowered alley and increased headroom.

The Legacy 650 was certified by the FAA in February 2011. Then five years later in 2016 Embraer announced yet further improvements to the Legacy 650 product, with a synthetic vision system and auto throttle as standard and a re-designed three-zone interior.

This new and improved Legacy 650 is the Embraer Legacy 650E, which entered service in 2017.

The Legacy 650E is supported by the near-perfect dispatch reliability of the Legacy 600 and 650 that came before it, prompting Embraer to offer the 650E with an unprecedented 10-year/10,000-hour warranty. This is the longest warranty of any business jet in the world.

Featuring three distinctive cabin zones, broadband connectivity, phone service and a transcontinental range – the Legacy 650E certainly is at the top of its game.

The 650E is powered by two rear mounted Rolls-Royce AE 3007A2 engine’s, with each one producing 9,020 lbf of thrust (18,040 lbf total).

This power is able to push the 650E to a maximum cruise speed of 440 knots and up to a maximum cruising altitude of 41,000 feet.

The Legacy 650E has a maximum range of 3,900 nautical miles (4,500 miles), making it capable of flying non-stop from London to New York or London to New Delhi.

The Legacy 650E has the ability to take-off in just 5,741 feet and has a landing distance of 2,346 feet, all while maintain a maximum take-off weight of 53,572 lbs.

The reliability of the Legacy 650E platform and of the Rolls-Royce engines has led the 650E to maintain its predecessors excellent 99.5%

While Embraer’s have always excelled at reliability and performance, the interior is often the most impressive part of every product, and the Legacy 650E is no exception.

With a generous cabin length of 15.19 meters, width of 2.11 meters and a stand-up height of 1.83 meters, there is plenty of room to walk around during a long flight.

The generous proportions of the 650E continues all throughout the cabin, into the lavatory and ample baggage capacity of 286 cubic feet.

The Legacy 650E improves upon the original Legacy 600 and 650 with newly restyled seats throughout the cabin for maximum comfort, having enough space to comfortably carry up to 14 passengers.

As you would expect with any private jet, there are a multitude of interior configurations that span the three-cabin zone interior.

Options include a conference table area, two divans and forward crew lavatory.

The Legacy 650E’s cabin altitude never exceeds 6,000 feet and maintains a consistently quiet cabin, perfect for long flights. A lower cabin altitude and low cabin noise will help to reduce the effects of jet lag, meaning you arrive at your destination feeling more refreshed and ready to get to work.

The Legacy 650E features internet connectivity and the latest generation in full HD in-flight entertainment, with Honeywell’s Ovation Select entertainment and cabin management system.

Additionally, a door separating the cabin from the galley and cockpit ensure total passenger privacy and comfort.

With options for sofas and sliding chairs, depending on the chosen configuration, there is space for up to six beds.

The kitchen in the nose of the aircraft provides more than enough space for the necessary utensils, storage and serving of dishes.

The spacious toilet room is located in the tail section, from which access to the luggage compartment is open during the flight.

With individual displays, you can equip all the chairs, in addition, the image can be displayed on the central widescreen screens – their number and size are optional.

Upfront the 650E features advanced features, making for improved situational awareness and reduced pilot workload. This allows the pilots to navigate busy airspace, tricky airports and poor weather conditions with greater ease and safety.

The Honeywell Primus Elite is pilot friendly and organized over five LCD displays. Additionally, a brake-by-wire system controls temperature monitoring and has anti-skid protection.
