Dassault Falcon 900EX EASy

The Falcon 900EX EASy is part of the Falcon 900 series of aircraft. Manufactured by Dassault Aviation, the long range jet was certified by the FAA and EASA in November 2003.

The EASy variant improves upon the previous 900EX model (along with the previous Dassault Falcon 900B, Falcon 900C, and Falcon 900DX) by having the upgraded EASy flight deck which first went into production with the smaller Falcon 2000EX EASy. Additionally, the 900EX features increased range over the previous generations.

A development of the Falcon 50 corporate jet – itself a development of the earlier Falcon 20 – Dassault officially introduced the Falcon 900EX in 1996.

The 900 series of aircraft is still in production today with the Falcon 900LX, one of the last few remaining trijet aircraft still in production.

Production of the Falcon 900EX EASy ended in 2010 when the LX entered service.

The Dassault Falcon 900EX EASy is equipped with three Honeywell TFE731-60 engines, each delivering a remarkable thrust output of 15,000 lbs (6,804 kg).

When cruising at high speed, the aircraft can reach up to 440 knots (814 km/h), and during long-range cruise, it maintains a steady speed of 430 knots (796 km/h).

The Falcon 900EX EASy can soar to a maximum altitude of 51,000 feet (15,545 m), ensuring a smooth, turbulence-free flight above commercial air traffic.

This aircraft stands out for its impressive range of 4,502 nautical miles (8,338 km), enabling non-stop long-haul flights and reducing the need for inconvenient stopovers.

The takeoff distance is a mere 5,200 feet (1,585 m), while the landing distance requirement is even less, at 2,300 feet (701 m).

It’s important to note that these performance figures represent the best-case scenario, and real-world performance can vary. For example, the Falcon 900EX is certified to land at London City Airport, an airport that has a notorious steep approach, departure, and short runway.
