Nextant 604XT

The Nextant 604XT is a remanufactured Bombardier Challenger 604. Nextant does not design and manufacture aircraft from new. Rather, they remanufacture existing aircraft.

Currently, their lineup of aircraft include the 604XT, 400XTi, and G90XT.

The benefit of remanufacturing existing aircraft is that you effectively receive an entire “new” aircraft, with the latest generation technology and comfort features, without the expense of clean sheet design and certification. The aircraft are based on existing, proven aircraft.

The three key areas of improvement from Nextant are the improved flight deck, upgraded passenger cabin, and improved performance capabilities.

The Nextant 604XT is powered by two General Electric Aviation CF34-3B High-Bypass Engines.

As a result, the 604XT is capable of cruising at 470 knots, with a maximum range of 4,524 nautical miles. Of course, this range is assuming optimal conditions, only 4 passengers onboard, and the most efficient cruise speed – as opposed to the maximum cruise speed stated.

Furthermore, the aircraft is capable of cruising at up to 45,000 feet. The higher an aircraft can cruise, the more efficient and smoother the flight will be.

Additionally, a higher cruising altitude will allow for better avoidance of poor weather.

Impressively, the Nextant 604XT is able to take-off in just 5,639 feet and has a minimum landing distance of 3,831 feet.

In its most passenger-intensive configuration, the 604XT can accommodate up to 11 passengers. In most typical configurations, there is seating for up to 9 passengers.

Nextant has equipped the aircraft with a brand new entertainment system, LED lighting, along with a newly designed interior shell. This interior shell has made it easier for natural light to enter the cabin.

This, therefore, results in the cabin feeling more spacious and comfortable.

Additionally, one of the key benefits of the 604XT is the fully flat floor, a benefit that it shares with the Nextant 400XT and 400XTi.

Furthermore, Nextant has elevated the style and comfort within the interior of the 604XT. This has been achieved through luxurious leathers, veneers, and accessories.

The main aim of the remanufacturing project inside the aircraft is to make the cabin more comfortable and to replace obsolete equipment.

The aircraft features handcrafted cabinets and tables, soft goods, advanced connectivity, and technology. In addition, cutting-edge ergonomic features result in an optimal and comfortable flying experience.

Nextant has reimagined the cabin ambiance with newly engineered configurations for seating, entertainment, and VIP zones.

The 604XT is equipped with next-generation cockpit technology – the Collins Aerospace Pro Lone Fusion. The cockpit upgrade results in – according to Nextant – unprecedented safety, efficiency, and predictability on every mission.

The upgraded cockpit features a Synthetic Vision System (SVS), Airport Moving Map, and an optional MultiScan Weather Radar. This results in state-of-the-art predictive weather analysis and advanced threat detection capabilities.
