Overview & History

The Hawker 700 is a recent version of the world’s longest-running corporate jet production program.

Having had over forty years to perfect itself, the Hawker 700 can be trusted for a high level of quality, safety, comfort, and performance.

Its spacious cabin, including a full lavatory, provides the capability of seating seven passengers comfortably.

Introduced in 1977, the hawker 700 has endured thanks to its durability, spacious stand-up cabin, and bargain prices.

The first flight of the Hawker 750 took place in August 2007 and the aircraft received US FAA certification in February 2008. The aircraft entered service in June 2008, with Jet Asia Limited which has four aircraft on order.

Hawker 700 Performance

The Hawker 700 can fly almost 2,000 nautical miles with seats full.

Available payload with full fuel is 1,350 pounds. Unlike some vintage business jets, Hawker 700s can satisfy Stage III anti-noise requirements without costly modification, thanks to their Honeywell TFE731-3RH turbofan engines (3,720 pounds of thrust each, together with burning 263 gallons of fuel per hour at cruise altitude).

The 731 engine is fairly ubiquitous. Parts are plentiful and most shops know how to work on them.

Engines must be overhauled at 4,000 hours and the average cost is $250,000 each. It has a cruise speed of 365knots.

The ventral fuel tank is removed in the 750 and replaced with an external, heated baggage compartment. Improved from the Hawker 850XP, the 750 can takeoff in 4,696 feet at sea level (a difference of 336 ft) and 7,094 feet at high altitudes (a difference of 924 ft).

Hawker 700 Interior

The Hawker 700’s passenger compartment is bigger than that of competitive airplanes, such as the Learjet 55 and Citation III. It seats up to eight (plus the two pilots up front) and is 21 feet long, six feet wide and almost six feet tall.

This space is plenty big to accommodate seven or eight passengers, a forward galley, a roomy lavatory, and a closet and baggage compartment. (The aircraft has a total of 79 cubic feet of baggage storage).

The standard cabin layout features five single slide-swivel-reclining executive seats and a three-place side-facing divan.
You’ll also find small forward and aft closets, a minimalist forward galley, and an aft lavatory through which you access the baggage hold.

While the 604-cubic-foot cabin is spacious, the baggage compartment, at 40 cubic feet, is woefully inadequate for today’s take-it-all-with-me jet set.

Cockpit

The Hawker 750 is equipped with the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite with four 8in x 10in high-resolution Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Displays (AMLCD).

The avionics suite includes a single FMS-6000 flight management system, Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS), Traffic alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), Engine Indicating System (EIS), Integrated Flight Information System (IFIS), 8.33kHz spacing communications, and turbulence detection weather radar.

The IFIS system provides the capability to display features that enhance safety and situational awareness such as electronic charts, enhanced map overlays, graphical weather (optional), and three-dimension FMS mapping (optional), on a single display.

The IFIS system includes a single FSU-5010 file server unit and a single CCP-3000 cursor control panel.
