Created just after Bombardier acquired Canadair & the Challenger 600 business jet. At the time Bombardier were looking to produce a long range business jet.

The Global Express quickly sold out before it even took flight.

The Global Express is the parent of Bombardier’s Global Express XRS and the current Global lineup. See Global 5000, Global 6000, Global 7500.

Production of the Global Express stopped in 2006 with a total of 150 Global Express aircraft being manufactured. Currently, 148 of these aircraft are still in active service.

147 of these aircraft are wholly-owned with just one being in shared ownership.
